{mostly} Picturesque Utah Update

Hi friends! Happy Friday!

A few things I’ve learned the past few days in Utah:

  1. Skiing and I are not friends. We will most likely remain amicable for the remainder of the week but after that we will be parting ways.
  2. Joy (my mother-in-law) has the patience of a saint. She spent over an hour guiding me down a green (yes, a GREEN) hill this morning. I spent a majority of that time face down on the mountain.
  3. 4-wheel drive vehicles should be required when driving to Solitude, Utah.
  4. Utah’s liquor laws are bizarre, although they have fun bar names. The Thirsty Squirrel, anyone?
  5. Kyle and I have waaaay too many hats (see photos below).
  6. Babbling brooks and streams DO exist – I found one yesterday and was mesmerized for 5 minutes. So peaceful.

Canadians, eh?

Ninja and Russian Spy… OR Boris and Natasha ;)

What are your plans for the weekend? Are you going on any trips for NYE?

Comments

  1. I think we are watching the UK game sat, but we are supposed to get 3 inches of snow tonight, which isnt much for here, compared to other states, but I know everyone will freak out…hopefully it wont destroy the plans :) hats are cute too btw!

  2. Haha, we’re thinking about going up to the snow for New Years and my boyfriend is (well, claims to be) a pro skier… Hope he has the same patience as your MIL!!

Those photos of snow-loaded trees are insane! Looks like you’re having fun!

  3. LOVE the hats! You two are adorable!

  4. Those best friend hats are too funny! We are not traveling for NYE this year. We typically do a quiet night in with some good food and fancy bubbly. All of your pictures are stunning! Have a fun!

    • We did a quiet night in last year which was so much fun! I feel I am much too old to have a night out on the town for NYE, haha… I’m sure I will be paying for it on the 1st!

  5. Sarah ( shh...fit happens) says:

Haha, skiing scares the living day lights out of me! But I’m determined to try it again, and this time NOT go down whatever hill my boyfriend tells me too!!

    • That is KEY! Kyle always takes me down the most terrifying hills that I end up falling down. It is horrible for my confidence so I’ve learned to do my own thing when we ski together :)
