Have you signed up for My Push-Challenge yet? If not, we are starting tomorrow so get your arms ready!! :) I plan on doing a recount of my push-ups tomorrow morning and then completing the following push-up workout tomorrow afternoon.
- Starting push-up count (I could do 5 last week.)
- 10 “real” push-ups – I plan on taking breaks during these :)
- 1 minute rest
- 15 “knee” push-ups
- 1 minute rest
- 15 “knee” push-ups
- 1 minute rest
- 15 “knee” push-ups
- Stretch

It’s snowing again in Minneapolis this Sunday afternoon so you know what that means… Kyle is going on another business trip to Puerto Rico. He seriously picks the best times to leave this awful-weather time of year!! I have a really difficult time meal-planning when he travels. Most recipes I typically make serve 8-10 people and, well, that is a heck of a lot of leftovers for one person. Knowing that I’ll be eating the SAME meal for pretty much the entire week, I decided to make a healthified comfort food. To be honest, I didn’t eat the healthiest last week so I’m looking forward to eating well this week.
I also was a HUGE slacker in the fitness department last week. UGH. It was just so cold and dark every morning and I had no motivation to get out of bed. I also had zero motivation after work to jump on a treadmill or elliptical for a quick sweat sesh. I’m going to work on my motivation this week…

Do you have any tips for staying motivated to eat healthy and workout in the middle of winter?














I’m so excited for this pushup challenge! I think on the days that I run (generally three days a week, at least lately) I’ll do some kind of pushup workout afterwards. Friday I tried to see how many I could do, and I actually surprised myself by getting to 7!

How can your husband take off to Puerto Rico and leave you in the cold? I would be so jealous. Mine always leaves to go to the most exotic places too. I guess we just have to deal with it!
I try to stay motivated by thinking about summertime and how I want to look good in a bathing suit. And because it feels so good after you’re done working out! ;)
I am super jealous of his trip! Although he has to work crazy hours while he’s there so it isn’t really a vacay for him. I like your summertime vision for motivation. I should put my bikini by my alarm clock as a reminder ;)
I purposely make large amounts of healthy food in advance. I also prep all veggies and lettuces for easy, go-to salads that I can throw together in a hurry. It definitely helps to focus on keeping only healthy foods and snacks in the house. I have to keep sweets out of my house because that is my go-to :)
I think my cupboards are my biggest problem! I can’t stay out of chips/crackers if I have them around so I may need to clean out my kitchen this week.

I want to go, did you pick your roomies or do you know them at all? I dont know anyone but I want to go! I just didnt know if I registered would they put my with anyone? Ill prob just pick the cheapest option since I have to fly also!
I put down my roomies but it isn’t required! Flying is going to be the most expensive part for me but I’m so excited :)

I use my treadmill in the basement a lot in the winter – especially now that I have discovered watching Netflix on my iPad while running. . .
Oooh that is a good idea – I’ve been wanting to check out Downton Abbey… A good excuse to run!
