Push-Up Challenge Finale

We are finally here! The END of my push-up challenge!

Check out my progress throughout the month of February:

How many push-ups were you able to complete yesterday?

My goal was to increase the number of push-ups I could complete to 15 by the end of February. I came SO close! Yesterday, I was able to finish 13 real push-ups!

No, I didn’t meet my initial goal but guess what, I’m 100% okay with this! Before this challenge, I never thought that I would be able to complete more than 5 real push-ups in my life. It is amazing how far a little determination and practice can take you!

I’ve felt stronger at CrossFit and much more stable at yoga and my arms are looking pretty darn toned if I can do a little braggin’ ;)

I’ve been asked by a few new readers if I could do another push-up challenge so that they could participate. Get ready for ROUND 2 (with some extra challenges!) in late April/early May!! Follow me on Twitter (#pushupchallenge) and check my blog to stay updated on the next challenge.

Since we are on the topic of fitness today, I thought I’d share a few photos of my new Sweat Pink gear! I received it in the mail earlier this week and can’t wait to flaunt my new Sweat Pink style!

I now have enough pink shoelaces for the next few years :)

And this tank is going to be perfect for calming yoga classes, walks with the pup and quick jogs around Minneapolis! Please excuse the awful self-mirror photo. I have never been good at these!

What is one fitness exercise or movement that you’d like to improve?

  1. way to go! what a huge improvement in just 4 weeks!? more than double! i’ll join your challenge when you do it again. i want to be better at everything haha. but to pick one i guess would be planks. my peak was a 4:10 plank hold. but my core has gotten weaker over the winter. it won’t happen if i don’t practice;o)

  2. I will do Round 2!
I would like to be able to do a handstand!

  3. You arms are definitely looking toned! Way to go, girl! :)

  4. That is a huge accomplishment! I still can’t do pushups. I wish I could but it’s something I’ve never really been able to work up to. I give anyone who can a lot of credit.

  5. The sweat pink stuff is too cute! I think a plank challenge would be a good one to do. I didn’t dare try the push up one, but I might join in on the plank! :)

  6. Awesome work! You should feel super proud and strong. :) I would love to get better at planks. . . I can do them for a bit, but then the longer I hold, the worse my form gets!

  7. pushups are my weakest and so is side lateral raises for your shoulders, i have been doing them for weeks! and still am like dieing with 5lbs haha practiceeeeeeeeee. love the pink gear!! never could have to many pink laces ;-)
