Happy Sunday! I hope you are all enjoying your weekends!
Quite a few of Kyle’s coworkers from Puerto Rico and Boston are in Minneapolis this weekend for a conference so we have been busy entertaining and giving tours of our city :) On Friday night, we met a few of his friends at Brit’s for drinks and then headed to Bradstreet Crafthouse for dinner. If you haven’t been to Bradstreet, it needs to go to the top of your list! It is located on the first floor of the Graves Hotel in downtown Minneapolis and serves prohibition-style cocktails along with small plates meant for sharing. We tried everything from the lobster macaroni to a cheese plate to tuna tartare and everything was amazing!
Yesterday, after enjoying a delicious breakfast at Wilde Roast Cafe (their steel cut oats are the perfect winter breakfast!) and getting our workout on, we took a few of Kyle’s coworkers on a microbrewery tour in Northeast Minneapolis. On a side note, it was highly entertaining to see 3 grown men squish into the back of Kyle’s Subaru. By the end of the tour, things got entertaining ;)
My flight at 612 Taproom.
On the tour was:
- 612 Brewery
- Indeed Brewery
- The Bulldog – NE (A much needed pit stop for nachos and burgers with fries!)
- Dangerous Man Brewery
- Fulton Brewery
Most of the group at Indeed Taproom.
I’m split between my favorite taprooms but if I had to choose, it would be between 612 and Indeed. 612 is super new, they are still doing some major construction work on their new building. It has a typical brewery feel and was really large so it could accommodate a lot of people. Indeed has more of a quant, loft style feel with brick walls and an open, wooden plank ceiling. It also looked like they had a fun, outdoor patio for the summer.
There may have been a game of Candyland at Dangerous Man Brewery – The game is fun even if you’re an adult ;)
There is a good chance, like 97.5%, that I will be on a beach in 18 days!! All I have left to do is purchase my plane ticket :) I have never, ever planned a beach vacation in this short amount of time – Way to be impulsive, Becky! Needless to say, my beach body workouts are going to be in full force the next few weeks. I am predicting a lot of running and a lot of yoga and A LOT of ab workouts in my near future :)
I am also going to be eating really healthy and trying to avoid overly processed, bad-for-you foods this week. It will save me money and make me feel better.

How was your weekend? Are you planning any spring break vacations in the next month? Do you have any good workouts that I should try?

I wish I was planning a spring break vacation! Everyone seems to be heading off the the beach. Yoga is a great workout, I always go with my mom when I’m visiting in MN.
It is! I always thought people were crazy for saying it but yoga is great at toning your body.
It looks like y’all had a great time :) A spring break vacation sounds amazing! That definitely provides inspiration for some great workouts! I think Dan and I will probably go to the beach at some point this month, probably over my birthday weekend!
Fun! I’m guessing you guys are within driving distance to a beach which makes me crazy jealous!
those chipotle burrito bowls sound yummy. a recipe please? :) also I am so jealous you are going to the beach!
I’ll get the recipe up later this week or early next week! It is simple and delicious :)
I hope you love the pizza! Please let me know what you think :).
I will! I couldn’t find a peanut sauce anywhere so I am going to figure out how to make one on my own :)
Fun!…………it’s been way too long since I went on a brewery tour! I am so ready for Spring and warm temps–done with the snow—even though we’ll get some tomorrow:(
I met a pal for dinner last eve, we are planning a long wknd in San Diego–in May–woot!
Ugh, I am so NOT excited for our pending snowstorm. I love San Diego! Have you been before? The Gaslamp District has amazing restaurants and I love all of the hiking and beach walking there is!
Great to hear about S.D! Never been………..I was in l.a. a yr ago, it was fun to see the beaches, piers, water……….sights, etc. I can’t wait! We want to check out the Gaslamp Dist. for sure!
Your little pub crawl sounds awesome.. what a great way to show outsiders a city!
It was fun! Plus I feel like beer is a good/easy way to entertain a bunch of 30-something men on a Saturday afternoon ;)
That beer tour sounds like so much fun! Jealous that you have so many breweries nearby! Where did you decide to vacation? A beach tip sounds perfect right about now :)
I think Minneapolis is trying to be a mini-Denver with all of the breweries :) Kyle is planning another trip to PR so I’m going to tag on this time! He hasn’t booked his ticket yet so I’m just waiting for that – I’m tempted to go even if he doesn’t have a work trip planned, haha!
That sounds awesome. I have never been to Bradstreet, but it is on my list now! I am excited about your vacay – awesome! We went to Florida just a few weeks ago. . . so no more beaches this winter!
I was so jealous reading your posts while you were in Florida! And yes, Bradstreet would be great for a date night. It has a fun, swanky atmosphere!
thanks for the linky love…i hope you like the quinoa patties as much as i did! brewery tour how fun…i just got home from a girls weekend to the cities…we ate at bar la grasse and chino latinos…ahhhhmazing food! and lots of fun shopping.
I am going home to Texas for Spring Break and a wedding, and I am crossing my fingers for hot weather!
I am thinking it will be at least warm – if not super hot by spring break time!
those last min beach vacas are the best! love that flight, brewery’s are the bestt! i love trying all the random weird flavors they have
