First things first, since this is my first time hosting a link-up, there are bound to be a few issues! Please let me know via email, Twitter, Facebook and/or comment if anything wonky is going on when you try to link your post up below. I’ll attempt to fix any technical issues ASAP! Also, remember to use to photo above and the hashtag #treatyourselftuesday on Twitter!
So, how did I treat myself over the weekend? I’m sure many of you saw my Instagram photo on Friday…
I obviously did some damage at the new Fashion Outlets of Chicago with my girlfriend on Friday! #treatyourself And today, since it is Treat Yourself Tuesday, I’m going to share my fabulous finds with you!
First off, my friend needed to return something at Marshall’s so I decided to take a swing through the store to see if there were any deals that I could absolutely not pass up. Lo and behold, I found a new leather jacket! I have been lusting after a leather jacket for over a year now but could not justify spending $600+ on one… I found this gem at Marshall’s for $180 and it was originally $525! Score! Now the weather just needs to cool down so I can wear it ;)
After a quick trip to Target (We needed some Starbucks and I need some dishwasher tabs… super exciting…), we made our way to the Fashion Outlets of Chicago. Neither of us had big expectations for the mall – outlets can be hit or miss but both of us lit up when the first store we walked into was Bloomingdale’s!
Not only was it a Bloomingdale’s but they were having a Buy 1, Get 1 50% off sale – Heck yes! I – of course – headed straight for the boots (I need fall to get here in a
hot cool minute!). I have never owned a pair of Frye boots before and well, to keep things short and sweet, I walked out with two pairs! You should never pass up a good deal, especially when it comes to boots that will last you for at least 10 years. P.S. I promise I’m wearing pants in the photos above… Actually, I’m wearing gym shorts and I didn’t want to show off my fashion faux pas on the blog ;)
After our excitement at Bloomingdale’s, we moseyed on down to Neiman Marcus. Oh my goodness. If anything, go to this mall for the Neiman Marcus. Shoes and purses and accessories galore! I scored a pair of Stuart Weitzman heels for $85 (they were originally $500!), a Badgley Mischka purse (price kept secret since Kyle reads the blog every so often, hehe!) and a bottle of perfume – Versace’s The Dreamer.
Next came Sak’s and two new dresses along with a belt. Kyle informed me that I have a thing for striped dresses and that I might want to venture out to find a new style. I say if you find a pattern that works with your bod, buy it in every style imaginable ;)
After a morning of shopping, we were pretty much famished and on our last leg until starvation hit (and being overly dramatic if you can’t tell…) so we found an Italian Restaurant, Villagio and refreshed over glasses of Sauvignon Blanc and delicious salads. Drinking wine is always a good idea while spending money ;) We knew we wanted to leave the mall by 2:30 to beat the traffic, so, after lunch, we only had an hour left and had to speed shop in order to hit the rest of our destinations!
My last purchase of the day was a pair of shoes from Vince Camuto. I have been looking for tan flats and these seriously feel like I’m walking on a cloud. I needed them plus they were half off their already reduced price. I just couldn’t say no!
Whew – talk about a day of shopping! I really wanted a nap after getting back home but I knew Kyle had planned a date night so I put on my new dress and shoes and enjoyed a night out on the town :)
So tell me, what did YOU do to treat yourself this past week?
