James Reilly – Newborn Photos

Doesn’t everyone love an adorable collection of newborn baby photos?

Because he’s my kid and naturally I think he’s cute, I thought I’d share James’ newborn images from his photo shoot last week.

They were taken when he was 5 days new and our photographer, Rochelle Shucart did an incredible job. She’s taken all of our professional photos since we moved to Naples and I HIGHLY recommend her if you’re searching for a Naples, Florida photographer.

Now, for the cuteness…

Weekending – Naples fun!

Good morning! How was your weekend? It sure went by quickly here in Naples.

How about a little photo recap?

Starting with Thursday… A little pre-weekend fun. We had quite a few friends visiting Naples this weekend for an AdvoCare incentive trip. Everyone came over on Thursday night – super fun to have everyone in one room!

Friday night happy hour for group fitness managers = Pumping up fitness balls, LOL. Dean LOVED it!

Kyle has been begging for a new TV for months (years?) – I told him if he mounted it to the wall, he could get a new one. Still no new TV but I think it will be in our  near future.

BODYPUMP on Friday with my Advo-friends! So much fun :)

Saturday AM trip to the best farmer’s market in Naples – I had my first acai bowl. YUMM!!

Then some time at the Naples Pier beach since we were so close.

A short (and hot!) run and bootcamp…

Family fun at the children’s museum! Dean had a blast.

Go horsies!

I ordered some new-to-me protein bars – So far, so good! I tried the chocolate brownie flavor yesterday and had the birthday cake flavor for breakfast this morning. YUM!

Dean and I checked out a new restaurant in Naples that friends have been RAVING about… McAlister’s Deli. Yup, it’s good!

And that’s a weekend wrap – We also hit up the dog park, went on lotsa walks, made a few Target trips, and mixed up some peanut butter pie :)

We also received a preview of a few of Dean’s one year photos. He was NOT cooperating that day but I can’t wait to see the rest!

Best part about your weekend?? Go!

#112 Treat Yourself Tuesday

It’s a short week for me as we’re headed to Iowa tomorrow to visit family.

Since I have to pack for everyone (and clothes/items we don’t typically wear/use which makes it more difficult) today’s goal is to stay focused… and extra SPARKly, of course :)

Even though it is going to be a busy day, I’m still making time for some treats… A big ol’ glass of Spark in my hand at the moment, storytime with The Deanster this morning followed by BODYPUMP at the Y. It’s going to be a good day! But enough chattin’, let’s get down to this past week’s treats!

Kyle and I had our first Naples date night sans Dean! (We went on a few while in Chicago) I have wanted to check out the Wine Loft ever since we moved to Naples but being pregnant and having a newborn isn’t really conducive to lofty wine nights out ;) It was AMAZING and totally worth the wait. I mean… just check out this cheese plate! We will be back.

Being DONE with family photos for the year is definitely a treat. Whew – Why they are so stressful is unknown to me but I’m glad they’re over. I shared our preview yesterday and I cannot wait to see the rest! We get to visit our awesome photographer, Rochelle Shucart, late next week as well for Dean’s 6 month photos. Getting him photographed is much more fun than when I’m in the photos ;)

We enjoyed a lot of beach sunset time over the past week which is always a treat. Naples sunsets are gorgeous.

I attempted a little nap action yesterday afternoon but Dean was not having it. Who needs sleep anyways!?

Finally, last but most definitely not least, I treated myself to my annual supply of gingerbread bars!! This photo is from last year (I think I was 12/13 weeks pregnant here?) but the excitement is the same. These little nuggets are THE BEST and they only come out once per year. I got 6 boxes this year and that should hold me over until Christmas ;)

Are you a gingerbread fan? What is your favorite date night location?

#89 Treat Yourself Tuesday

Comin’ at ya a little late this morning… An extra hour of sleep presented itself to me and I wasn’t about to turn that down!

How about we jump right into the treats?

Baby Dean’s newborn photos! We had his newborn session on Friday with Rochelle Shucart – She did an amazing job and I cannot wait to see his full gallery. I gave y’all a sneak peak on Instagram – Aren’t they adorbs??

“Scenes from today” Instagram posts – I am taking A LOT of photos these days and rather than bombard y’all with images every 20 minutes or spend all of my time on social media, I’ve been making little collages at the end of the day. I like it so far! Thoughts?

Wine! This is kind of disappointing (and embarrassing!?), but I have yet to finish a full glass… haha. Go figure! I have a few sips and then realize I don’t want the entire thing. Eh, it’s okay! A few sips still taste good and then I don’t have to worry about timing breastfeeding so carefully.

This treat hasn’t happened yet… but it WILL today. I am getting OUT. Haha :) I am normally a homebody but sometimes you just need some outside interaction. I haven’t told Kyle yet but I am going to run to Starbs (I don’t even drink coffee that often anymore, LOL) and quickly to Target for baby wipes – Seriously, all I need is 30 minutes and I’ll be a new woman ;)

Baby cuddles. Newborns are so sweet and I’m taking advantage of the cuddles throughout the day.

Lots of family walks – It feels great to get some fresh air and a bit of exercise in each day. We are aiming for one walk in the morning and one in the evening. It’s good for us and good for Baby Dean to have some outdoor time each day.

What was your favorite treat from the week? Scenes from today posts – yay or nay? What should I get at Starbs? I’m thinking an iced americano but haven’t been in forevs… What’s good??

#76 Treat Yourself Tuesday

Tuesday, Tuesday! I had some fun treats over the past week that I can’t wait to share with y’all :)

First… Girl Scout cookies – OMG good. If I fail my gestational diabetes test today (NOT a treat…), I blame Samoas ;) As a side note, the Thin Mints are alllll Kyle’s. I think I may be the only person in the world to not really like Thin Mints! I mean, I’ll still eat them if they’re in front of me but I wouldn’t choose to order them. Weird, right?

A new prenatal yoga DVD. There aren’t a ton of prenatal yoga classes here in Naples so I figured that it would be beneficial to do something at home to keep me somewhat nimble. I know I definitely need the stretching after all of my BODYPUMPing and Spinning. I wouldn’t say the DVD is a workout, but it did feel pretty awesome on my sore muscles and I plan on fitting it in 3-4 times per week until May.

My Plum Paper planner!! You guys. YOU GUYS. This is absolute amazingness. I feel 110% more organized and I haven’t even had my planner for a week. For some reason, I am much more productive when I can cross things off of a list and see everything that I have on tap for the day. I only have cheap planners to compare it to, but it is a total step up from what I have used in the past. Plus, it’s really pretty to look at and it was ONLY $31!

A newborn photographer! I have been putting off finding a photographer for months and decided I should probably get on that since MJ will be here in less than 12 weeks (gulp.) After speaking with a few photographers in Naples, we decided to go with Rochelle Shucart Photography! She was super friendly on the phone and made me feel comfortable which I know will be really important when she’s taking photos of little MJ. I also love that family and friends can gift us a “photography gift” via her registry that will be applied toward photo purchases.

And we’re working on some exciting house stuff BUT you’re going to have to wait until the t’s are crossed and the i’s are dotted before I share anything. Hopefully that will be sooner rather than later because I can’t wait to tell y’all about it!

How did you treat yourself this past week? What is your favorite type of Girl Scout cookie? Planners – yay or nay?
